The Administrative Services Office of the Department of Emergency and Military Affairs provides properly trained employees to perform the work needed to accomplish the mission of the Department. It is also provides adequate personnel support to free all functional sections from personnel administrative tasks.
Human Resources The DEMA State Human Resources Office is part of the Administrative Services Office and deals with all human resource issues. The DEMA State Human Resources is responsible for processing all personnel actions and ensuring that those personnel actions are in compliance with state and federal employment laws. The DEMA State Human Resources Office also ensures that all actions concerning covered employees are in accordance with the ADOA Personnel Rules.
Risk Management/Loss Prevention Risk management entails organized activity to manage uncertainty and threats. It involves people following procedures and using tools in order to ensure conformance with risk-management policies. This section of the Administrative Services Office provides the help DEMA employees and managers need to keep the workplace safe. Responsibilities include risk management, OSHA training and inspections, workers’ compensation, and fleet safety.
Letter Orders The administrative Services Office is responsible for publishing State Active Duty orders and processing State Active Duty personnel actions. The administrative Services Office is also responsible for processing invitational Travel Orders. |
